CanQuest user guide

How CanQuest works — human verification, anti-sybil sign-up, the app menus, and what you can earn as a genuine participant.

Introduction

CanQuest is a quest platform on the Canton network built around real users. We verify that each account belongs to a genuine person and actively resist sybil farming — so the points you earn, the ranks you climb, and the rewards you claim actually mean something. They aren't diluted by bot armies or multi-account abuse.

As a verified participant you complete missions from partners and daily CanQuest tasks, earn points, climb the leaderboard, and claim rewards — not only CC (Canton Coin), but also invite codes and access codes for projects in the Canton ecosystem, so you can get in earlier than the public launch.

The platform combines three things in one account:

  • Earn — partner campaigns with CC, invite/access codes, lottery, or first-come-first-served rewards.
  • Quests — recurring daily and social tasks that give you redeemable points.
  • Wallet — a Canton party ID that holds your on-chain CC balance.

Visit the landing page to browse campaigns, or launch the app to sign in and start earning.

Anti-sybil & verification

Keeping rewards honest is core to CanQuest. Several layers make sure rewards go to real people, not farms of fake accounts:

  • Email OTP verification — every account confirms a real email with a one-time code before it's usable.
  • Captcha at sign-up — a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge blocks automated registration.
  • Disposable-email block — throwaway email domains are rejected, raising the cost of mass account creation.
  • One wallet per person — wallet creation requires a team invite code under a daily quota, so a single human gets a single on-chain party ID.
  • Server-verified tasks — task completion, points, and reward draws are decided on the server with audit trails; the browser never controls the outcome.
  • Rate limiting — global throttling and replay protection guard sensitive actions across the platform.

The practical upshot: the leaderboard you compete on and the reward pools you draw from aren't flooded with bots. Play fairly and your effort is what counts.

CC Lock & Earn access

The heart of CanQuest is a non-custodial CC lock. You commit CC from your own wallet to prove intent and unlock access to partner campaigns — your funds are never taken away.

  • Lock 30 CC on-chain from your wallet (the threshold is configurable per network).
  • Your account is instantly promoted to Full access tier — this is read straight from the chain, not a manual approval.
  • Full access lets you join partner missions under Earn and claim their rewards.
  • Choose a lock term — 7, 15, or 30 days — based on how long you want to commit.
  • When the term ends, unlock and your CC returns in full. A small network holding fee applies while locked.

You manage locks from the Wallet page — create a lock, watch its countdown, and unlock it once the term expires. Quest points and redemptions (Quests menu) work without a lock; only partner campaigns in Earn require Full access.

Getting started

  1. Create an account — click Launch App on the landing page or header, then register with email and password. Verify your email with the OTP code sent to your inbox. You can optionally enter a friend's referral code during sign-up.
  2. Open the platform — after sign-in you land on Overview. The sidebar (desktop) or bottom bar (mobile) lists all app menus.
  3. Create your wallet — go to Wallet and enter a team invite code to create your Canton wallet. Earn requires a wallet; Quest task submission and redemption do as well.
  4. Start earning — complete daily tasks under Quests right away. To join partner campaigns in Earn, lock 30 CC from your wallet first to reach Full access (see CC Lock), then claim your rewards.

What you can do on CanQuest

Reward types

Prizes are not limited to CC. Depending on the campaign or redeem catalog, you may receive:

  • CC (Canton Coin) — sent to your on-chain wallet.
  • Invite codes — early entry to a partner app, testnet, or community.
  • Access codes — unlock beta, whitelist, or ecosystem project perks on Canton before general release.
  • Lottery entries, waitlist slots, and first-come-first-served claims.

Finishing quests early helps you secure codes and spots while supply lasts — so you can show up ahead of the crowd.

Partner campaigns (Earn)

  • Browse live and completed partner missions.
  • Open a campaign to read rules, tasks, and reward type (CC, invite/access code, lottery, FCFS).
  • Complete all required tasks, then claim your reward when eligible.
  • CC goes to your Canton wallet; codes are shown in-app for you to copy and use.

Daily hub (Quests)

  • Check in daily and build a streak for milestone bonus points.
  • Complete verified social tasks (follow, retweet, join channels).
  • Answer quiz tasks for points.
  • Redeem accumulated points for CC, invite codes, access codes, or other rewards.
  • Share your referral link — earn points when friends verify their account.

Wallet & CC

  • Hold CC from campaign claims and quest redemptions.
  • View balance and transaction history in one place.
  • Send CC to other users when you are ready.

Compete & customize

  • Check your rank on the Leaderboard (weekly, monthly, all-time).
  • Connect Twitter in Settings for tasks that require it.
  • Switch UI language and color theme from the platform toolbar.
